On the Harris County side, qualifying floodplain projects must put electrical and mechanical equipment at least 24 inches above the 500-year flood level.

Spring Creek is the line between Harris County and Montgomery County, and Spring addresses sit on both banks. On the 77386 side, Montgomery County requires a development permit for proposed development in unincorporated areas, and we check whether a generator install at your address counts. On the Harris County side, we handle whatever permits and inspections the install needs.

Spring's severe weather is not limited to hurricane season. During the January 2025 winter storm, sleet was reported in Spring, and 2.8 inches of snow fell six miles west-southwest of Spring. If your lot is in a mapped flood zone, we confirm whether the county elevation rules apply to the install and, if they do, set the pad height to meet them.
