Twenty to one-fifty kilowatts. Pick the voltage, we have the unit.

The 20 is an air-cooled Guardian in three-phase, for smaller shops and suites. The 25 to 80 are Generac Protector liquid-cooled units, single-phase or three-phase. The 100, 130 and 150 run on natural gas or propane (the second number is the propane rating) and carry a catalyst. Some sizes also come in a CA/MA emissions version. Every one comes in the phase and voltage your building already has.

How we work

One call. Then it's handled.

  1. Site walk. We come out, look at your panel, your load, and where things would go, and ask about your hours.
  2. A real quote. Written, itemized, no allowances that turn into surprises.
  3. Scheduled around you. Nights, weekends, whatever keeps your doors open. Our crews, our permits, our inspection.
  4. After a storm. You call one number and a person who knows your building picks up.

Commercial electrical work by type of building

Every kind of business uses power differently. Here is what usually matters most in the buildings we work in around Houston.

01

Offices and professional suites

Offices need clean, steady power for computers, servers and phones, plus lighting that is easy on the eyes all day. Common jobs are new circuits for added workstations, LED lighting upgrades, outlet and data-room power, and fixing breakers that trip when the space fills up. We can work after hours or on weekends, so your staff are not working around us.

02

Retail stores and restaurants

Retail needs bright, even lighting and signs that come on when they should. Restaurants run hard on equipment, with walk-ins, fryers, hoods and dishwashers that each need the right circuit. A failed circuit at lunch costs real money. We plan dedicated circuits for equipment, check panels for capacity, and schedule work before opening or after closing. Parking lot and sign lighting can be checked on the same visit.

03

Medical and dental offices

Medical and dental offices depend on equipment that cannot just stop, and refrigerated supplies that cannot get warm. We handle dedicated circuits for equipment, lighting, surge protection and standby generators that keep the office running in an outage. We work around patient hours, and we keep the work area clean and safe while the office is open. Planning ahead keeps any shutdown short and on your schedule.

04

Warehouses, shops and light industrial

Warehouses and shops often run on three-phase power, with high bay lighting, compressors, welders and dock equipment. We add circuits for new machines, upgrade high bay lighting to LED, install parking and yard lighting, and size generators for the loads that must stay on. We look at the panel and the service before adding anything big. That keeps new equipment from tripping the whole building.

Tenant build-outs, remodels and equipment circuits

Moving into a new space or changing how you use one usually means new electrical work. Here is how we handle it.

01

Tenant build-outs and white box spaces

A new lease often starts with an empty shell or a space built for the last tenant. We lay out outlets, lighting and circuits for how you will actually use the space, then pull the permit and handle the inspections. If the existing panel or service is too small for your equipment, we tell you early so it can be part of the lease conversation with the landlord.

02

Dedicated circuits for new equipment

New equipment usually comes with a spec sheet that lists the voltage, phase and breaker it needs. Send it to us before the equipment arrives. We check whether the panel has room, run the dedicated circuit, and install the right outlet or disconnect. That way the equipment can go to work the day it is delivered instead of sitting in a box.

03

Working with landlords, contractors and property managers

Commercial jobs often have more than one decision maker. We work with general contractors, landlords and property managers, and we keep one point of contact on our side. You get a written scope and estimate that everyone can review. For managers with several buildings, one electrical contractor who knows each site saves time on every call. We also keep notes on each building so the next visit starts faster.

Three-phase power, panels and service upgrades

When a business grows, the electrical service often has to grow with it.

01

Single-phase and three-phase service

Most homes and small suites run on single-phase power. Many larger buildings, restaurants and shops have three-phase service, which runs motors and heavy equipment more efficiently. Your equipment has to match what the building has. We check your service before you buy equipment or a generator, so the voltage and phase line up and there are no costly surprises. A photo of the panel label and the equipment nameplate is a good start.

02

When a business outgrows its panel

Breakers that trip during busy hours, a panel with no open spaces, or plans for new equipment are signs the service may be too small. We do a load review to see what the building uses and what it needs. The answer may be a new panel, a subpanel near the equipment, or a service upgrade that involves CenterPoint. Every building is different, so a free visit gets you a written estimate.

03

Fixing code issues after an inspection

City inspectors, fire marshals, insurers and landlords sometimes flag electrical items. Common ones are missing panel covers, open junction boxes, extension cords used as permanent wiring, and blocked panels. Send us the report. We tell you what each item means, fix it, and handle any permit or re-inspection, so you can close it out quickly. We can work after hours if the fix means shutting off power.

Keeping your business open when the power is not

Storms and outages hit Houston businesses every year. These steps help you stay open or reopen fast.

01

Sizing a standby generator for a business

The right generator depends on what has to stay on. Some businesses need the whole building. Others only need refrigeration, a server room, lights and the registers. We look at your loads, your service and your fuel source, then recommend a size. As a Generac Prestige Dealer, we install and service commercial Generac generators, and we also service Kohler generators.

02

Surge protection for equipment

Lightning and utility surges can damage computers, POS systems, controls and refrigeration boards. Surge protection at the panel, along with point-of-use protection for sensitive devices, reduces that risk. We look at what equipment you rely on most and where protection makes the biggest difference. It is a small part of the system that can save expensive repairs. We can add it during other work, while the panel is already open.

03

Yearly generator service

A generator that has not been serviced may not start when you need it. We recommend yearly service for every generator. Our Shield Protection plans cover regular maintenance so the generator is checked, tested and ready before storm season. Keeping records of that service also helps show your equipment has been cared for. We also check the transfer switch and battery, since those fail as often as the engine.

Questions we get from owners

Ask us anything. These come up most.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Offices, retail, restaurants, clinics, churches, warehouses, and light industrial around Greater Houston. If you have a panel and a building, we can probably help.

Can you work after hours?

Yes. We schedule around your hours so our work doesn't stop yours. Nights and weekends are normal for us.

Do you keep commercial generators in stock?

Yes. 20 to 150kW Generac units, single-phase and three-phase, in stock in the Houston area, which is the difference between "next week" and "next quarter" after a storm.

Do you do maintenance contracts?

Yes. Preventive maintenance on the electrical and on the generator, on a schedule, with a written report each visit. Call and we'll put one together for your building.

Do you offer commercial electrical contractor services?

Yes. Commercial electrical work and generators for Houston-area businesses, with permits handled and work scheduled around your hours.

What is the difference between a commercial and a residential electrician?

Commercial work often involves three-phase power, larger panels, conduit, equipment circuits, and inspections by the city or fire marshal. It also has to be scheduled around business hours. Wired does both residential and commercial work.

Do you handle tenant build-outs?

Yes. We lay out power and lighting for the new space, pull the permit, coordinate inspections, and work with your landlord or general contractor.

Do you work with property managers who have several buildings?

Yes. We work with property managers and multi-site owners and keep one point of contact on our side, so each building has someone who knows it.

Do you pull permits for commercial electrical work?

Yes. We pull our own permits and handle the inspections on the work we do.

Do you work on three-phase power?

Yes. We work on single-phase and three-phase service, including circuits for equipment and commercial generators in the voltage and phase your building already has.

Can you add a circuit for new equipment?

Yes. Send us the equipment spec sheet before it arrives. We check the panel and run the dedicated circuit with the right breaker, outlet or disconnect.

How much does commercial electrical work cost?

It depends on the size of the space, the equipment, the condition of the panel and service, permit requirements, and whether work needs to happen after hours. Every building is different, so a free visit gets you a written estimate.

Do you install EV chargers for businesses?

Yes. EV charging is part of our commercial work. We check the service and panel first so the chargers do not overload the building.
