In Missouri City, the main questions are placement on a subdivision lot, what your association will approve, and which fuel your street supports.
What a generator has to handle in Missouri City.
Fitting a unit onto a subdivision lot
Many Missouri City lots are not large, and a standby generator needs clearance from the house, windows, and property lines under the manufacturer's rules and local code. We walk the lot with you, mark the options and pick the spot that works for the equipment, the gas line or propane tank and the electrical run. In older neighborhoods such as Quail Valley, patios and mature trees often decide the location.
Sienna's review process and other HOAs
The Sienna property owners association reviews modifications, and other communities in Missouri City have their own associations and guidelines. Check yours before you buy. We provide a site plan and the unit's specifications to include with your application, and we can adjust placement if the association asks for more screening.
Permits and the city
Missouri City issues electrical permits and runs inspections through its Development Services Department, and gas connections are inspected as part of the job. Wired handles the permits and inspections the job needs. Permit timing depends on the city or county, and the install itself is usually one day. Parts of Sienna and Riverstone, and some other addresses with a Missouri City mailing address, are outside city limits, so we confirm what applies to your address first.

Questions we get from Missouri City.
Can a generator fit on a smaller Missouri City lot?
Often, yes. The clearances from windows, doors and property lines decide it, and those depend on the unit and local code. We walk the lot and tell you honestly if the only workable spot is a poor one.
Do I need approval from the Sienna association?
The association reviews modifications, so ask before work starts. We provide a site plan and specification sheet to attach to your application. Other communities have their own rules, so check yours.
Who handles the permit?
Wired does. We handle the permits and inspections the job needs. Permit timing depends on the city or county, and the install itself is usually one day.
