DO
- Unplug appliances when not in use.
- Have GFCI outlets installed in bathrooms and kitchens.
- Know where circuit breakers are located.
- Outdoor electrical equipment should be inspected annually.
- Investigate lights that flicker.
DONT
- Plug an extension cord into another extension cord.
- Pull on an electrical cord- instead pull on the plug when unplugging irons, hair tools, lamps, etc.
- Overload electrical outlets.
- Use electrical appliances near water.
- Use overheating outlets and get them inspected immediately.
