Houston, we have a problem!
Winter weather is making its way to our city next week with temperatures dropping into the teens. The arctic blast will make its arrival on Sunday night and last throughout the week of January 15th.
Read below to begin preparing your home for this hard freeze.
Remember the 4 P’s:
- PEOPLE – Ensure you winterize your home with blankets, heaters, and warm clothing. Prepare for outages with candles, flashlights, etc. Stock your home with non-perishable food: crackers, canned items, chips, salsa, etc.
- PLANTS – To keep your plants healthy and alive- cover all outside plants with extra sheets and tarps and bring inside the potted plants if you are able.
- PETS – Pets are vulnerable during freezing temperatures – bring them inside or provide them with a warm shelter.
- PIPES – Cover exterior pipes and make sure to drip both hot and cold faucets to prevent them from freezing and then bursting.
Stay cozy and keep the lights on during these frosty months! We’re here to help you prepare for the winter weather with our top-notch generator installations. Don’t wait until it’s too late, get your quote today.
