Electrical Fire Precautions

We recently came across some statistics from the U.S. Fire Administration and were just blown away by how many fires are caused by electrical issues. These are potentially fires that could be prevented if we all just took the time to check all of our connections and make sure we have the proper components installed in our homes and businesses.
The 2008 NEC code has many requirements that are set in place to protect you and your homes and businesses. One of them is the installation of AFCI breakers which function as a protector from electrical fires.
